Little Big Dog Rescue is a sanctuary for very senior and hospice dogs. We focus on dogs who end up in shelters due to their owner going into a nursing home or passing away. Large dogs are the most difficult for the families to absorb. Consequently they are the most at risk. Therefore, large dogs have first priority when we have a waiting list. The dogs live residentially and in order to qualify must be able to live in a pack. Food, clothing, beds, toys, diapers, veterinary care, medicine, transportation, and more, is fully covered by Little Big Dog Rescue. We are located in Monterey VA and we are always in need of volunteers. You could take a dog for a walk, spend time brushing a dog, or just sit with a dog and talk to it. Dogs love company
