Founded in 1996, Abandoned Pet Rescue (APR) is one of South Florida's largest no-kill animal shelters, providing medical care and compassion to homeless dogs and cats. APR houses 150 cats and 35 dogs while finding homes for about 350 pets per year. Pets at APR are examined by shelter veterinarian and are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for common illnesses and microchipped. See all of our adorable pets on our website and complete an adoption application so a team member can contact you to help match you the right pet. To surrender a pet, visit the website for the surrender form and other resources as APR can only take in animals when space is available. APR relies on volunteers and donors to help us save lives!
